Upon registration with the Platform as a car owner, a user profile is developed to further customize the user’s experience. Currently the required data fields are:

If you are booking a job that involves pick up or drop via the Service, your GPS coordinates may be recorded. Most GPS enabled mobile devices can define one’s location to within 50 feet. You may also choose to upload photos while using our Platform, if you wish to do so this may be viewable by the Service Providers for better experience. You may update your profile picture at any time by logging into your account and the pictures you shared with Service Provider on messaging service will be automatically removed after 30 days of job/ purchase closure. When you use our services through your mobile device, we will track your geo-location information so that you are able to view the service providers nearest to your area, set your car location, and allow pick-up/ delivery boys to find your location. We will not share this information with third parties for any purpose and will only use this information for the sole purpose of fulfilling your request.

All credit/debit cards details and personally identifiable information will NEVER be stored or leased to any third parties without your additional permission. By submitting your credit or debit card account information through our Services, you expressly consent to the sharing of your information with third-party payment processors, and other third-party service providers (including but not limited to vendors who provide fraud detection services to us and other third parties).

Some of the advertisements you may see on the Site are selected and delivered by third parties, such as ad networks, advertising agencies, advertisers, and audience segment providers. These third parties may collect information about you and your online activities, either on the Site or on other websites, through cookies, web beacons, and other technologies in an effort to understand your interests and deliver to you advertisements that are tailored to your interests. We use this information to closely monitor: (1) which features of the Platform are used most, (2) to allow you to view your Open Bonnet Service History, (3) store your credit card information with our PCI certified payment partner (upon permission), (4) get customized results for marketplace searches or promotions we may run from time to time in conjunction with Service Providers, (5) rate Service Providers, and (6) to determine which features we need to focus on improving, including usage patterns and geographic locations to determine where we should offer or focus services, features and/or resources. We use the mobile information collected so that we are able to serve you the correct app version depending on your device type, for troubleshooting and in some cases marketing purposes.

When you use Open Bonnet services, your information may be provided to the Service Providers whom you have selected. In order to facilitate your transaction, we provide your information to that Service Provider in a similar manner as if you had dealt directly with them. OBT or the Service Provider may contact you through calls or text messages regarding your job/ product purchases. We may also share with the Service Providers additional information, such as information about your car upkeep preferences and history or information that we collect from third-parties. We do not control the privacy practices of Service Providers. Please contact them directly if you want to learn about their privacy practices.

Service-related Announcements

We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.

Customer Service

When you sign up for an account, you are opting in to receive emails from other Open Bonnet or Service Providers. Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we or the chosen Service Providers may also communicate with you by email, in-app messages or telephone in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account.

Targeted or Behavioral Advertising

Targeted advertising (also known as Behavioral Advertising) uses information collected on an individual’s web browsing behavior such as the pages they have visited or the searches they have made. This information is then used to select which advertisement should Open Bonnet be displaying to a particular individual on websites other than www.openbonnet.com The information collected is only linked to an anonymous cookie ID (alphanumeric number); it does not include any information that could be linked back to a particular person, such as their name, address or credit card number.
